The overall design creates an elegant flower, a mandala to enchant our innate aesthetic for a harmonious geometric truth. On closer look, we see life-size people. When we ignore our environment, our heads buried in a smartphone, our earbuds and view screens assimilating us into a digital reality that promises wonders beyond our wildest dreams, we forget how we have accomplished all we have. When another entity does all our heavy lifting, we lose our ability to exist in full. The figures create a mood and atmosphere that illustrates the pressures that we're beginning to face as our place in the world is being altered at a pace we aren't able to keep up with. They're cogs on a wheel, part of a machine, like batteries. Once you grab that ring, lower your head, and close your eyes, are you turning your thinking processes over to a digital master? I hope people see it with their own eyes, with their own interpretation, as mine isn't all-conclusive of its profound meaning.
