Teake Zuidema is professional photographer born in the Netherlands. His travel stories and social documentaries have been published in a wide variety of national and international magazines and websites like National Geographic Traveler, Discover, Grandes Voyages, Popular Science, Huffington Post, Das Magazine, EOS, GEO, The Guardian magazine and many more. He moved to Savannah, GA in 2021 where he joined the KOBO gallery. Impressed by the power of the coastal landscapes of Georgia and South Carolina, he dedicated himself to photographing these areas. With an AWS grant from the UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, he's currently working on a photo story about trees in the coastal landscape: Living on the Edge. The large panorama's and triptychs in this series will be exhibited in September/October 2025 in the main gallery of Arts Southeast in Savannah.
