As a sophomore at the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in Architecture, I am deeply engaged in exploring the intersections of traditional and contemporary media. My primary focus is on oil painting, and recently, I have been expanding my practice by integrating pastel and charcoal into my work. My artistic process is profoundly influenced by the intimate relationships I have with my subjects. By painting portraits of individuals who are significant to me, I aim to capture a more authentic and nuanced representation of their essence. This personal connection enhances the emotional depth of my work. I am also dedicated to enhancing the impact of my paintings through the incorporation of thematic scenes that communicate the concepts and messages I wish to convey. This approach allows me to create a richer narrative context and engage viewers on a deeper level.
