Art has always been my main passion. I have been making art since early childhood. My ability to draw was noticed by my first grade teacher. I now live in north Georgia and am surrounded by mountains, cattle pastures and rural landscapes, with abundant inspiration for paintings. Animals are one of my favorite subjects. I work in many media, including pastels, watercolor, acrylics, and oils. I graduated with summa cum laude honors at age 60 from Reinhardt University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. some subjects are rendered realistically with particular attention given to composition and the play of light and pattern.. I strive to show the essence of a subject while adding emotional and aesthetic content. I am a signature member of numerous watercolor societies and have been included in many juried regional and national shows, often receiving awards. I am constantly striving to learn more and improve my work. My goal is to create better paintings.
