DeLong is a painter, sculptor, woodworker and photographer who grew up in Florida and now lives in Charlotte NC. She photographed President Joe Biden's family portrait in the 1980s and received awards for painting, sculpture and photography.
Attending Pratt Institute in the Masters of Art program was the stepping stone to making art a full-time career. She and a partner owned Atlantic Portraits in Rehoboth Beach DE for 24 years. DeLong received top awards from the Professional Photographers of Delaware including Photographer of the Year multiple years.
Ringling College of Art & Design, Sarasota FL gave DeLong their first one-person show of paintings in 2019 at their Englewood Gallery.
DeLong's current paintings use paint and wood to create 3-dimensional objects that the viewer translates into their own feelings and thoughts, adding the 4th dimension.
