I am a fine artist based in Savannah, Georgia. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2012 and my Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2017. With 12 years of experience in higher education, I have taught at the Academy of Art University, Santa Clara University, and the Savannah College of Art and Design.?
My practice integrates traditional skills with contemporary dialogue, demonstrating that these elements not only coexist within a single image but also enhance one another. I work with a diverse range of materials, including oil, acrylic, encaustic mediums, collage, and fibers. Central themes in my work include identity, personal and collective histories, relationships with place and nature, the body as a subject, and the metamorphosis of motherhood.
