"Snacktime" showcases the tender moment between doting parent and eager offspring, sharing food and building trust; in both the immediate exchange that will fill the belly as well as the trust that the ability to share in this abundance will be passed on through the generations. In this work, I draw on my own experience as both a mother and as a guest in the communities within which I work, continually eager to showcase nature through my artistic interpretations to not only appreciate the beauty of these interactions but also as a reminder of the intricate relationships that make the ecologies on which our global ecosystem depends.
