I am a painter that works on more than one series at a time. Over the last six years I have been working on a large number of paintings based on photos I've taken of buildings and structures around the region where I live (Charlotte, NC and surrounding regions). And I 'll often go into those buildings and take photographs of what's inside. The paintings I am submitting to Artfields 2025 are interior works where I reverse and simplify the colors and tones in order to end up with images that are less defined and more radiant.
