Jacqueline McGregor

My name is Jacqueline McGregor, but I go by Jacci (pronounced "Jackie"). I'm a 21-year-old studio art major with a minor in marketing at Benedict College, and I'm currently in my senior year. I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and now live in Saint Paul, Minnesota. My artistic journey started when I was four, inspired by watching my dad sketch. I often copied his drawings, and I found my own creative voice over time. My passion for art blossomed while attending Casey Elementary, an arts-focused school in Jackson, MS where I began seeing art as a lifelong calling. Today, I would describe myself as kind-hearted, bubbly, and innovative. My art often draws on personal memories, exploring the beauty of rediscovery through each piece. Much of my current work consists of projects for my Studio Art program, and I hope to create work that evokes a sense of connection and meaning.
