My name is Desiree Schmidt. I've enjoyed dabbling in mostly 2D art since I was a child and am still as interested as ever. I am drawn to portraiture but will try anything including exploring various mediums. I have an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from 2005, but have always enjoyed more, the tactile feel of painting and drawing. I've taken many workshops over the years with professional artists and entered various juried shows in my area enjoying some encouraging recognition. The art making process is innately satisfying, but with daily life taking priority, I have not kept up with the almost constant inspiration for the next painting or drawing. There is so much more still to do.
