I'm a potter living in Raleigh, North Carolina since 2018 but originally from San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua. Since my 13 years old I have been working in my Nicoya Indigenous Technic, traditional artwork that I learned under my father direction. As an apprentice I was learning traditional motif by Nicoyan and Mayan Indians but now I'm developing my own style and design using new colors and innovation but keeping the legacy of my stone burnished clay and the culture of my ancient family.
