Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, a Hawaiian psychotherapist, cured an entire ward of criminally insane patients without ever meeting them. His approach, rooted in ho'oponopono--meaning "make things right"--emphasizes love and forgiveness to promote healing. Dr. Len believes that to heal external issues, we must first address our internal struggles. He outlines four key phrases that he considers the hardest to say, which are essential for achieving balance. Inspired by this, I recorded myself saying these phrases and created an audio file. I then used digital software to visualize the sound waves, which I later translated into a physical form using a CNC router; a laser cutter to craft cast acrylic pieces, hand placing each, to bring the undulating pitches and tones to a physical 'sound'. Collectively, the finished piece is my voice, brought into the three dimensional world, speaking: The Four Hardest Things to Say: I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.
