Brent Erickson

My name is Brent Erickson I am passionate about many things in life, but art is my deepest passion. I grew up in Wyoming which has a plethora of nature and inspirational natural beauty. Following graduate school, I moved to Washington, D.C. and then Virginia. I have studied art in one form or another for virtually my entire life. I have devoted a majority of my artistic time to oil painting and realism for the past 25 years. I studied with Danni Dawson, Rob Liberace, Ted Reed, and Robert A. Johnson. I started selling my work and entering juried shows over 30 years ago.

I paint almost every day and some of my favorite subject matter is flowers from my garden and antiques from my personal collection. My work focus has been mainly on still life, portrait, and figure. I have particpated in a high number of juried shows and I received a good number of awards in jurried shows. I also collect art and have an extensive collection of oil paintings by some very notable artists.
