Activation Stations open at 11am-7pm Friday, April 25th, and then follow regular open hours for the duration of the festival. Randy Dickerson
Decatur, GA
Randy Dickerson is an abstract painter and award-winning creative director. Born and raised in rural Alabama, he earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Alabama. While pursuing his passion for painting, he has also won a Cable Ace Award, Communication Arts Award of Excellence, and an Emmy. As a child, Randy spent countless hours exploring outdoors, fostering a deep connection to nature and a sense of wonder. His work reflects this, blending flora, fauna, with personal experiences. Over the past 20 years, his "Fragmented Faces" series evolved from a way to cope with his grandfather's Alzheimer's, to a study of human interaction and influence. Randy works primarily with acrylic paint, blending abstract expressionism, surrealism, and representational styles, inviting viewers to play and explore within his art. Randy lives in Atlanta. When not painting or hanging with family, he can usually be found fossil hunting, metal detecting or exploring deep in the woods.
