The idea for this image came about 10 years ago. Whether it's kids playing electronic games or adults ignoring what they don't want to see, it really hit home in our current culture of distrust and deliberate misinformation. Too many people have tunnel vision and refuse to look outside their little world. In this image, the real world outside is gone, only static. The subject is focused on whatever he's getting from the TV that he never leaves. Everything is a prop to keep him in his only reality. We see what we want to see. We hear what we want to hear. Nothing is real. Everything is real. Turn on. Tune out.
