Savannah, GA, is my home, where I balance being a college professor, an artist, and a weekend surfer. My artwork has been exhibited across the U.S. and internationally in Ireland and France.
A central theme in my work is the struggle to control the uncontrollable, shaped by my experiences over the past decade--navigating a ten-year relationship's end, coming out in my mid-thirties, facing rejection from my community, relocating, and starting new careers. During these unpredictable times, my need for control became a coping mechanism.
My artistic journey has evolved from capturing the beauty of hurricanes to creating detailed depictions of coastal textures, such as the sea's surface and shells on the shore. Recently, I've expanded my work to address environmental issues, focusing on the impact of everyday products on our oceans, expressed through intricate line work and attention to detail.
