Abby Edwards (b. 1993, Georgia) is an artist based in Savannah, Georgia. She has a B.F.A in Graphic Design from the Savannah College or Art and Design and is a self-taught sculptor. Her work expresses the human experience through a lens of absurdist humor and child-like curiosity. Abstracting the ordinary and playing with perception is a visual thread throughout her practice. She finds inspiration in the unexpected, and strives to create a space where people can rediscover their imagination and break free from established norms. Her work ranges from sculpture, painting, installation, and public art, which has been shown at the Jepson Center, Sulfur Studios, and Gutstein Gallery in Savannah, Georgia, Lamar Dodd Art Center in LaGrange, Georgia, Westobou Gallery in Augusta, Georgia, and ATHICA in Athens, Georgia. She has also created work for Fantastic Fungi, UNFK Earth + Amplifier Art, CAT Savannah Transit, and SCAD.
