ArtFields Virtual Field Trips 2021

The arrival of warmer weather and bright daffodil blooms are welcome signs that Spring—and ArtFields—are on the way. Each year, we fill businesses, galleries, and outdoor green spaces with art and welcome students and adults from all over the state and country to view hundreds of artworks and celebrate the creativity and talent of Southern artists.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and school administrators work to make the best decisions for the safety of their students and staff, we realize that field trips will not exist as they have in the past. The thousands of students we greet and lead on ArtWalks will be greatly missed, but with our virtual field trip options, the students won’t have to miss the art. ArtFields is proud to have all the artworks, from both students and adults, displayed in an online gallery complete with artist statements about each piece and the artist’s biography information.

Teachers can register for this virtual opportunity below or create their own curriculum around exploring the artwork online.

If your group of 8 students or more is able to travel to Lake City, please email [email protected] to plan an educational tour to meet your needs.

FREE virtual experience includes:

-a 10-15 minute video introducing the field trip and showing select venues featuring adult competition artwork

-ArtWalk booklet PDF for critical thinking about pieces of work

-a virtual tour/slideshow of student artwork split into grade categories

-voting tally sheet so students can vote on their favorite pieces

-access to an exclusive art class taught by Nickelodeon animation artists

For a $30 fee, have hard copies of the ArtWalk booklet mailed to your classroom! Package will also include stickers, ballots, and a small souvenir. This fee covers materials for up to 30 students. Please select the “Printed Materials for Additional 10 Students” at $5 for materials for each set of 10 additional students in your classroom.
