Postponing ArtFields was a very difficult decision for us as we are well aware of the benefit it brings to artists, attendees, and the town of Lake City. As soon as we’re able to safely hold our event, we’ll look towards getting it back on the calendar. In the meantime, however, we’re bringing the energy and spirit of ArtFields online on our social media handles (@ArtFieldsSC) with our ongoing series #ArtFieldsAtHome . We encourage everyone to join in for daily activities, uplifting articles and a sense of community during this time. We’ll embark on virtual tours together, dive into new artistic endeavors and continue to celebrate art and artists — just like we always have. We’ve always needed art in our lives and, in many ways, need it now more than ever so we’re going to do our best to bring it to you.

ArtFields was launched as a way to breathe life into our town of Lake City during a tough economic moment, and we’ve been in contact with the businesses of Lake City in order to see how we can best support them during this uncertain time. We’re hearing from most businesses that shopping online, purchasing gift cards, and ordering to-go meals are all great ways to lend support. As we hear more updates, we’ll be sharing that information on our social media handles.

Our town of Lake City has come together in remarkable ways in the past. That’s evident each and every year when we all band together to create a town-wide gallery — a pretty remarkable feat, if you think about it. That spirit is still very much alive and well here and we can all do our part to stay safe and healthy, support businesses when we can, and stay optimistic in the meantime.
