Tami began her painting career in the decorative painting industry with a love for folk art.  After many years a friend asked her to join a traditional oil painting class. She accepted the challenge and hasn’t looked back. “With brushes and paint I try and create beauty in my subject matter. Sometimes I’m attracted by color or texture; often it’s simply the challenge of the subject matter itself that intrigues me.” Tami has made oils her focus for the last 18 years, studying with various teachers across the country. Her work has been featured at many shows throughout the Southeast, as well as in Oil Painters America and Salon International.
