Loretta Gerald is a native of the North Santee section of Georgetown SC, affectionately known as "BABE" to most. After graduating from Howard High School in Georgetown SC, she received an Associate Degree in Business from Atlanta College of Business in Atlanta, GA. In addition, Loretta modeled professionally, and was a merchandise buyer for Norman's Boutique in Atlanta, GA. She obtained her Interior Decorator License from Montgomery Ward Stores, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA, and her Certificate to Teach Modeling from Barbizon Modeling School in Virginia Beach, VA. Loretta worked at the largest full-service Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations & Research Firm in the coastal regions of the Carolinas and Georgia for over 22 years. Loretta's artwork is inspired by The Creator. She states, "What comes to me as a vision is sketched, then made into a pattern, transferred onto fabric, cut out pieces are then "hand" stitched on the canvas to evolve into a inspirational wall hanging." Loretta was honored with the TWIN award from the YWCA of Greater Charleston for her managerial skills, has received several awards for volunteering, to include Charleston County School District and Lincoln Middle/High School School Improvement Council. She is Director of Public Relations for the United Community Church of God, Inc. PAW. Loretta has years of experience in a variety of fields to include, but not limited to: inspirational speaking, Gullah storybook reading, Kwanzaa awareness, elderly caretaker, emcee for programs, and homemade quilts.
