In 2000, Elizabeth Rundorff Smith received a BA in Studio Art from the College of Wooster in Wooster, OH. As a student of the College of Wooster, Smith received the Donald R. Mackenzie Prize in Art for achievement in sculpture. She studied abroad at the Marchutz School of Painting in Aix en Provence, France and the British Institute of Florence in Florence, Italy. In December of 2005, Elizabeth Rundorff Smith received an MFA in Painting from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she was granted a Full Graduate Assistance Scholarship. In 2006, she was awarded a Fellowship and residency at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in Amherst, VA. Smith moved to Greenville in 2006 to serve as Program Director for the Artisphere arts festival until July of 2016. She currently serves as Art School Director for the Greenville Center for Creative Arts and continues to exhibit her work in solo and group exhibitions. Most recently, she was awarded Honorable Mention by juror Betsy Cain in A Sense of Place a National Juried Fine Art Competition at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art in Augusta, GA. Recent solo exhibitions include "Mimicry," a mixed media installation at Art & Light Gallery in September 2015, and "Sea Change," an exhibition of recent paintings in August 2016 at the Metropolitan Arts Council in Greenville, SC.
