Page Laughlin was born in Richmond, VA; she now lives and works in Winston-Salem. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Virginia; her graduate degree is from the Rhode Island School of Design where she received a MFA in Painting. Working primarily as a painter, Laughlin has also exhibited projects in site-specific art. Page Laughlin has exhibited in galleries located in cities throughout the United States, including New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Santa Fe, Atlanta, Charlotte and Richmond. Laughlin’s paintings are in numerous private and public collections, and her paintings have been shown in over 43 competitive exhibitions including 10 solo exhibitions or installations, 11 museum exhibitions, and 6 published color exhibition catalogues. Exhibition venues include: SECCA, The North Carolina Museum of Art, The Mint Museum in Charlotte, Nexus in Atlanta, and the Virginia Museum of Art. Laughlin’s project grants include the New Forms Regional Artist Project Grant in Atlanta, North Carolina Artist Project Grant, and the Percent for Art Program, as well as a Headlands Center for Art Residency in California. In 2007, she was awarded a North Carolina Art Council Fellowship, and she was a nominee for USA Artist Fellowship. Her work was a feature article in “Traditional Home” magazine, May 2007, with national and international distribution of more than 2 million readers. In 2013, her paintings were featured in “Dwelling” at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh.
