I am a Korean artist from South Korea. I was born in 1967 in Seoul, Korea. I received a BFA (1994) and an MFA (1998) in painting from Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea, and an MFA (2008) in sculpture from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. I am an active exhibiting artist. I have participated in several exhibitions (group shows, juried exhibitions) as a professional painter and sculptor. I had my 13 solo exhibitions in the U.S. and Korea. As a painter, I have recently worked primarily in acrylic painting based on the pointillism technique. The main images of my painting are common people’s ordinary life in a city. My thinking is based on materialism. So the basic content of my art is strongly inspired by natural science such as quantum physics. I live and work in the Metro Atlanta area, Georgia.
