Jason is an interfaith leader, a professional writer, and leads a global volunteer non-profit that advocates for full human rights and safety for the Afghan people in Afghanistan, and displaced around the globe. He discovered art as therapy in 2021 when terrorists retook Afghanistan and 20 years of effort to stabilize the nation ended. Jason was a professional soldier for 23 years and specialized for half his career in mediation and peace-building. His art works display the unique culture and the resilience of the Afghan people, and are used to bring awareness to their humanitarian crisis and daily suffering. Jason lives in North Carolina with his patient art mentor Michelle. Jason is the author of four books in English and one in Arabic; and over 225 of his articles and essays have been published in over 40 periodicals. His 2017 Quran interpretation won the Gold Medal in the National Indie Excellence Awards.
