George Galbreath graduated from Howard University in 2000 with a BFA. He completed his M.Ed. at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. Throughout his 20 years of classroom teaching, in Fulton County Schools at Westlake HS in Atlanta, Georgia, he has maintained a career as a working artist. He is the co-founder of non-profit UAE Youth Artist Program and and ARTiculate ATL. George is a resident of Castleberry Hill and finds inspiration living in the historic arts district.
His work has most recently been showcased in his 2023 solo exhibition at Trap Music Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. George is currently the recipient of The Creative Project two year art residency. He was also awarded the Roanne H. Victor Merit Award; Juried Plein Air Exhibit at Rice Gallery (Kansas City, MO) and the African American Art Exhibition at the Actors Theatre (Louisville, KY) in 2018.
