Ingrid Carson earned a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art from Columbia College in 1990. She double majored in drawing and photography, and has since been recognized for her realistic oil paintings and abstract media work.
Ingrid continues to attend national workshops focusing on expanding her abilities and knowledge of new media and innovative ideas for creating visual art. She is an art instructor in her home studio and exhibits in the Gallery at Nonnah’s on Gervais Street, Columbia, SC and Palmetto Art and Frame, Virginia Avenue, Chapin, SC.
She has exhibited and won awards in numerous shows including: Best of Show, Seven Oaks Art League Annual Juried Exhibit; First Place, Sandlapper Juried Art Exhibit; First Place, Union County Arts Council Juried Art Exhibit.
Ingrid is a co-founder of the Crooked Creek Art League in Chapin, SC. She is a signature member of SC Watermedia Society; About Face (Affiliated with Columbia Museum of Art); Seven Oaks Art League; and Trenholm Artist Guild.
