Diggs, VA
Meg Arsenovic (1987, West Point, VA) is an artist and new mother, raised by a leopard-print-loving yankee from Long Island, NY and a map obsessed sailor from Savannah, GA. Formerly based in Richmond, VA and now in rural Diggs, VA, Meg’s work is driven by processing lessons new and old, experienced in deeply contrasting places. Through the use of alluring textures and alarming colors, her work examines the collision of nostalgia and reality, innocence and violence, myth and something closer to the truth.
Meg received her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. She has exhibited throughout the US including The Taubman Museum of Art (Roanoke,VA), Chicago Printmakers Collective (Chicago, IL), and The Chapter House LA (Los Angeles, CA). Solo shows include Quirk Gallery (Richmond, VA), and The Appalachian Center for Craft (Smithville, TN). Her work is included in numerous private collections including that of Bill and Pam Royall and the Capital One corporate collection.
