Gender roles have been enforced in society since the beginning of recorded history. Women are expected to be the ones who look over the children, and men are expected to be the ones who work and be the head of the family. Women have been fighting for actions and words to not have a gendered stigma around them, and the 21st century amplified the magnitude greatly as to what can and can't be gendered. Kindergarten shows that men can have the capabilities to take care of children. Women and men can both take on the role of caring for a child, just like how women can also be assertive and bold. Actions can't be assigned to one gender, and neither can words.
