I wasn’t initially planning on painting “Raja:The Ferocious Feline,” but I’m exceedingly grateful a tiger came into my life. I enjoyed sketching with a skinny piece of charcoal and then painting it. I especially enjoyed painting the ombré background, because blending different colors together has always fascinated me. When I admire “Raja: The Ferocious Feline,” it reminds me of my southeast Asian roots and the meaning of raja, which is king of the jungle.
