This artwork was inspired by a traditional festival in my home-country, Vietnam, called Mid-Autumn Festival. It’s a drawing that I drew to appreciate my cultures and a person I respect and am grateful for, my sister. To me, this festival reflects a childhood that I will forever keep in my memory diary. Therefore, I want to bring it to life and express my appreciation through the lanterns and my sister because I think they’re the best representation of the beauty of my childhood: beautiful, bright, and precious.
