Through the digital art medium, I utilized different tonal ranges within a pattern of lines to form depth, shading, and shadows. I chose to feature a female warrior to illustrate both the strength and beauty of women. I decided not to use color because I wanted the viewer’s eyes to be drawn to the intricacy of the line art. Additionally, I was inspired by the traditional Japanese art style, even placing the kanji ‘Tiger’ as a way to pay homage to the culture of the piece.
