May I introduce the venom spitting DILOPHOSAURUS. I am fascinated with dinosaurs, so I thought it would make a cool subject matter. We have no idea what dinosaurs realistically looked like, can you imagine what some animals would look like if they were solely based off of bone structure. Dinosaurs could be pink or neon yellow for all we know. My take on this dinosaur’s color palette could be right or very wrong, I guess we will never know. This sculpture may not be the most meaningful piece, but I love it and at the end of the day, that’s what matters because you can’t make something that everyone is going to like. This artwork was meant to be an experimental piece, and is really the first clay creation that I’ve made in high school besides some bowls and vases. It is made from a simple slab building technique with handmade clay spikes and canvas for frills. The whole thing is painted with acrylic paint. To be honest, I’m just glad it didn’t fall over during the building process.
