My name is Javan A. Washington. I'm a 17-year-old who stumbled into photography in 9th grade when my mom had a dusty old camera, and at that moment, I knew I wanted to do this. I took the camera and rushed outside to find anything to photograph. As I kept using that camera, my skill started increasing, leaving me with one choice––"do I want to be a photographer?" Eventually, I started taking portraits, wildlife, still-life, and family gatherings, which led me to turn the hobby I loved into a craft. Since then, I've always been hunting down the next significant landmark or moment someone wants to keep forever.
