In this piece, I explored the idiom "curiosity killed the cat". Cats are naturally curious animals, and I wanted my piece to show this. To make this saying into a 3-D sculpture, I made a cat head with its brain exposed and then spelled out the word "curiosity" with a coil from the brain spilling out of its head. I wanted this sculpture to make the viewer think about its design and concept and know that curiosity did actually kill the cat.
