This piece is me imagining myself as a fairy, sitting on a sunflower that my mom had grown. I created this because I was trying to make artwork that put me in as a character from an imaginary kingdom my twin and I made up in our old backyard. Although most of the characters we made up were inspired by bugs and cracked dirt, I wanted this self insert character to be like a guardian of the kingdom since my sister and I no longer live there.
