This artwork was created to express a strong and visible emotion. I was inspired by my experience of dancing in the Macy’s Day Parade, so I created a portrait of myself during this event. This portrait captures the pure joy I was feeling when I saw my family waving and cheering me on. This rare occasion was and is a core memory for me, and having artwork to show this helps me share this feeling with others.
