For my ArtFields Jr. submission I chose to submit photography because I enjoy taking photos of nature. My passion for photography started when my family took a trip to the mountains and I spent a lot of time taking pictures of the different parts of nature. I chose to make a photo collage of three different pictures that represent where I live. My middle picture is a picture of a path leading into the marsh this symbolizes entering the Lowcountry marshes. The photograph on the left is a picture of oysters and oyster shells, oysters are vital to the ecosystem because they help filter the water and prevent erosion. The photograph on the left is of driftwood and driftwood to me symbolizes change because it’s always floating around. Every time I go to the marsh something is different just like how driftwood is always moving and changing.
