For my piece, I painted a portrait of a pelican that represented my childhood that I lived in Key west Florida. I was inspired by the pelicans curiosity, so I tested out dry wall mud to add a 3d aspect and draw in more of that beloved curiosity to the viewer. I used a cracked black pepper shade in the background as well as the face to add rhythm through out the piece.
