In this exploration of a still life, my aim was to capture the relationship of various colors, textures, and shapes within a meticulously arranged composition. Featuring an array of objects–fruit, vegetables, fabric, flowers, bottles, a plant pot, and a vase–I delved into the challenge of recreating diverse surfaces through the lens of observation. Utilizing colored pencils, a medium new to my range, I sought to convey the unique detail and vivid values each object possesses while still maintaining a clear silhouette. The process of creating this piece has been an effective and engaging learning experience into the expressive possibilities of realism.
