For my artwork, my angel is inspired by the famous Icarus story in Greek mythology. I was inspired by how he went too close to the sun and his wings melted and fell to his doom. On my first version of this, I did a smaller one and tested it by cutting out certain pieces I wanted to pop out and added cardboard to them so they pop out the page. It did work but it still looked a little flat so on this one I added even more cardboard to make it pop out which worked wonders. The string I used looked like rain a little bit so I used it to give the feeling of rain. My goal was to make the angel look alive and pop right out the page to catch the viewers attention and to make it stand out.
