My inspiration for "Forced Perspective" was how sometimes peer pressure can make you notice, and pay attention to things you normally wouldn't. This can be helpful, but it can also go too far and push down your thoughts, perspectives, and identity. In this self-portrait, the two hands are controlling views and thus forcing how you see the world around you. It is a reminder to stay true to what you believe in no matter what other people say.
