This piece is a part of a collection in which I create wearable art to explore how different people exhibit changes to their identities. This piece, the Frida Frock, is based on Frida Kahlo's painting The Two Fridas, which represents a split or change in her identity. The white dress symbolizes Frida's marriage to Diego Rivera, and the heart, for which I created a purse connected by yarn "veins", represents her connection to her other self.
