When making this print, I was in the process of preparing for college applications and taking the SAT. I was feeling unprepared and unsure of myself, having no sure direction of where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do. Taking inspiration from the word pairing "callow/prepared" given as a prompt, I created this monochromatic print referencing family photos of my twin and I as infants. I wanted to lean into the medium type, leaving in chatter in the places that it appeared. I also wanted to not rely as heavily on outline in my piece, using the repeating lines of the background to create the shapes of the heads.
