I am an 8th grade honor student that is excited about the world of art. I take up art at my school. Art is very interesting to me. I like learning about different artists and different techniques that can be used. I grew to like art when I was about six years old. I would find myself doodling on notebook paper of cartoon characters that I would watch on the television. As I got older, I found myself actually drawing images with detail. I had the privilege to shadow an art teacher at a middle school. I got the opportunity to see art in the workplace as well as learn from my peers on how they view and create art. One example of viewing my peers in creating art was where my peers had to listen to lyrics of different songs and draw a work of art to match the mood of the song they heard. This was a great opportunity for me to learn about how to express art to other art students and how others see art in many different ways. Art is a way of expressing yourself. It's also how you express your emotions. Art can be used as therapy. It's a great way to relax yourself. This is the reason why I love the world of art.
