I wanted to create an image that depicted an act of force. I wanted the street to feel both desolate and desperate. Societal structure does its very best to prevent violence, but do mindless and meditated acts of brutality show through in the end? Although we have a form of government and common law set in place, what is man's nature in actuality? What will the streets of our nation's cities look like in the years to come? The culture of the world illustrated in this scene is one of shockingly destructive pain. The walls are adorned by posters regarding safety and violence. The colors are somewhat clashing and the streetlights bleed red. Bottles of alcohol shatter across the cold pavement, highlighting a temporary means to escape the agony and affliction. Facist propaganda lines the harsh landscape. Litter builds up and industrial slime pours from the pipelines. A disregarded man steps outside his apartment, and shields his eyes from the torment that is his reality.
