I am Jaelle Autridge, a 13-year-old visual Artist at the School of the Arts. I have been passionate about art since I was 8 years old. To me, art isn't about just having an amazing piece, but it's about the emotion behind it. Art helped me express myself and express emotions well, which is why I appreciate it to this day. I used to be closed off and instead of talking about my feelings I would shut down and art helped me grow out of that to become the expressive person I am. In my art, I like to use bright colors to express feelings of positivity and light, but in other pieces, the colors vary depending on my feelings. Art is a huge part of my life and it helps me let out emotions and be who I am, it's a huge inspiration in my life.
