Room 707 is a culmination of digital illustrations of each student of my freshman year biology class. I was homeschooled for middle school and this class and teacher ( Mr. Hayes ) was pivotal to my success. I was scared and overwhelmed to be in a new setting, this class completely relieved these feelings. My teacher took me and the entire class in and treated us like family, we fought and laughed like a family. I felt so impacted by this experience so I wanted to give some of the love back to them, eventually Room 707 was created. It took a month of planning and getting pictures of everyone. I drew everyone one at a time and eventually finished the illustration, printed it out, and gifted it to my teacher the day before winter break. This piece serves as a physical memento to the class that changed me.
