My artwork, "Sunset Dreams" is based on Greek mythology. The unicorn is a symbol of my dreams of coming to America. I didn't want to use a horse, I wanted to make it extraordinary. The horse's mane is made of a variety of colors that I mixed and blended. The background is a big hill with layers of mountains and rocks surrounding a deep valley. The sun shines above the horizon. My artwork is an image straight from my imagination. At first, I kept seeing a brown horse in a field of fresh flowers in old art books and magazines around the art room. I was going to use them as a reference but, everything changed. When I got home, I went to sleep. When I closed my eyes to sleep, Suddenly, I saw a beautiful unicorn, and I just had to draw it. In my opinion, my unicorn is a work of art. I made my artwork using crayons, colored pencils, and Sharpie markers. I made a few rough sketches on drawing papers. Then, I decided to make a semi-realistic unicorn that appears to almost jump off the paper.
