"Afternoon in Paris" was a special moment in time that I captured while I was sitting on a bench outside of a bookstore in Paris. I noticed that the sunlight was bouncing off of the awning of the cafe in a beautiful way, and I snapped a picture. It soon became one of my most treasured images from the trip, and I knew I had to push it artistically. I used a gelli plate and acrylic paint to transfer the image onto paper to make a physical print, turning my memory into something tangible.
